The brewery is just off Hillsborough Street at 3709 Neil Street, tucked back off the road a bit, but easy to recognize when you find it. Its nearly a straight shot down Faircloth Street, from Wade Avenue. We stepped inside and were immediately impressed with the size and openess of the tap room. Its going to be a great spot to hang out and the size of the tap room definitely lends itself to all kinds of events possibly being hosted there as well.
Kristie Nystedt, President and CEO was there and was happy to greet us and give us a quick little tour of the facility. There is ample space for all their brewing equipment and access to their brewing supply store, making it easy for local brewers to shop and pick up supplies.
Raleigh Brewing will open in March with six beers on tap. John Federal, the General Manager, Brewer and Beer Guru, was busy working on a batch of beer in the brew room as we spoke.
I think Raleigh Brewing Co, is in a great spot with close proximity to the PNC Arena, NC State and Meredith and its also VERY close to one of my new favorite spots to hang out on Wade Avenue, Ridgewood Wine and Beer Co. Took like two minutes to get from one to the other!
Looking forward to hearing more from these guys and spreading the word when Raleigh Brewing Company opens their doors! (Not to mention sampling the Rye IPA, one of my favorites!!)
Thanks again for letting me drop in!!
