With early Fall comes some great area Festivals that are perfect for getting out and enjoying the cooler, drier weather. There are several events happening in Raleigh this weekend which will keep downtown busy and fun.
But, if you are looking to enjoy a little day trip somewhere new, consider
Hillsborough this Saturday. The annual
Fresh Roots Festival will be happening, with adult and kid friendly events to keep you busy all day long!
"We invite you to join us for a day of activities scattered
around our Historic Downtown District and in West Hillsborough at
Hillsborough Station. Activities begin at 10am and will last until 8pm. See our tent on the Courthouse lawn for a schedule of events, map and more information on Saturday!"
Hillsborough NC is the home to
Mystery Brewing, a leader in the craft beer industry, especially here in North Carolina. The
Pub House is a great spot to stop in and try a pint (or two!). Unique, hardy and exquisite beers are worth the stop. Saturday they will be hosting the
beer and wine garden for the festival.
Several local restaurants will be participating in
a
Spring Feast Menu at the festival for a celebration of some amazing dining featuring food collaborations with local farmers.
Hillsborough is a great place to discover some great shops and restaurants and live music! Saturday there will be several
Yep Roc artists performing live on the Courthouse lawn in the afternoon. One of our personal favorites who we have followed for years will be one of these performers so we plan on parking ourselves on the lawn early to catch
Josh Rouse live! He is currently living in Spain so it's a rare and
amazing opportunity to catch him in person in NC. Yep Roc is also headquartered in Hillsborough and one of the sponsors of the Festival.
So, Saturday, get out and enjoy an amazing day trip to Hillsborough. Join us. On the lawn.
