Roadtrip to Bodega

Last Wednesday night, we ventured out of the North Raleigh suburbs to have dinner at Bodega Tapas, Wine, and Rum. Located on the southern end of White Street in Historic Wake Forest in the former Backfins restaurant, Bodega just recently opened in February.  If you are familiar with Driftwood Southern Kitchen in Lafayette Village in North Raleigh, Chef Nunzio Scordo from Driftwood brings his new concept to Wake Forest. The menu boasts an eclectic range of cold and hot small plates with influences from around the world. Bodega also offers a nice selection of wine by the glass and bottle, sangria as well as classic and unique cocktails.

The restaurant is rustic, cozy and inviting. Parking is available just steps away. We arrived early and over the next hour the entire place filled up including the bar area. We had a friendly and helpful server and we loved the half price wine bottle special on Wednesday night (and half off cocktails on Thursday!). We left happy and full after four tapas plates and dessert! I'm looking forward to coming back again soon and trying more of the small plate options.
