Yesterday, I got a turn at carrying the RDU Baton on Instagram! If you haven't heard of them or don't follow them already, RDU Baton is a collaborative photo project to show off the Triangle through the eyes of local residents every weekday. You don't have to be a professional photographer, just have a passion for where you live.

Anyone can sign up (there's a bit of a wait list so it will take a while to get your turn) but it's fun to share a bit of insight to life in every corner of the Triangle...Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas.

Below are the places I featured on my turn yesterday! If you want to sign up go to and they will contact you when it's your turn!

Good Morning! My name is Chana and I’m excited to hold the baton on this beautiful Tuesday morning! I love Instagram and all things local. I started my own account @raleighwhatsup to help inspire + bring more awareness to fabulous local businesses in Raleigh + the Triangle area. I am from VA, moved to Sydney Australia before landing in Raleigh 17 years ago. Raleigh has grown a lot over this last decade and I’m excited to showcase a small part of all the cool things happening here. ******** First stop! @solacoffee , one of my very favorite places to hang here in North Raleigh. Jeanne + John, the owners have done amazing things with Sola and the community ~ speaking of which today 50% of their revenue will go to Red Cross to help the cities affected by Hurricane Florence. I am grabbing my coffee to go! Let’s get this day started! #ibelieveinraleigh #solalove #rwufav #raleighnc #solacoffee 📸: @raleighwhatsup
