Sometimes you just need to escape.

Time to fly. |
In March, my mom and sisters and I did just that. We went to the quieter and more affordable of the Bahama Islands, Grand Bahama Island. We enjoyed five days of relaxing, amazing views, eating, shopping and catching up with each other. It always takes some planning, but it's worth it to take a moment with family and/or friends and make a memory. One of the great things about travel is getting everyone out of their element!

That looks like a perfect getaway!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing these photos again. That was a great trip.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us. Leigh
Thanks Leigh!
DeleteWhat a lovely getaway - I love those photos, so vibrant and pretty there!!
ReplyDeleteIt always amazes me when I hear about Grand Bahama being a tourist destination. Last time I was there was about 22 years ago and it was definitely not a very exciting place. Looks like a lot has changed!
ReplyDeleteIt is still a quiet island and we were looking for an affordable place to stay and just walk to a few things, so it was perfect for us. They've lost a lot of tourists with several flights being cut to the island so its definitely low key. The casino at the resort was a ghost town, so I hope things pick up for them!
DeleteAutumn has arrived in Norway hence I really need an escape!!! Judging by these pictures Bahamas wouldn't be a bad choice at all.... :)
ReplyDeleteGood post. We've posted a similar Bahamas profile here: http://traveleam.ca/bahamas-great-deals-on-all-inclusive-vacations-to-bermuda/
