Want to try Yoga? Try a Free Week of Classes at CorePower Yoga in Cameron Village

LIVE YOUR POWER
The beginning of a new month or season is always a good time to start something new, get inspired or take on new challenges. If yoga is something you've been wanting to try, or you are looking for new yoga classes or even if you are an experienced yogi looking for training, Raleigh's Cameron Village CorePower Yoga studio offers a great variety of classes with a flexible schedule. Afraid to commit? You can try out yoga FREE for a week!

Why Yoga? It's great for the mind, body + soul. Yoga improves overall health and well-being through many different techniques, including postures, movement, breath awareness and exercises, relaxation, concentration, and meditation.

I used to do yoga religiously and loved it, then life got ahead of me and my favorite instructor left us for another city and I got lazy. Now, I'm on the search for another good yoga fit. Yoga was always the one thing that I didn't grow tired of, challenged me every time, and I always left class realizing that for an hour, I didn't think about anything else, which is amazingly refreshing.  I will admit that I'm a little overwhelmed by the number of choices and techniques to yoga. So if you are like me and want to try yoga before you commit, visit Core Power Yoga in the Village and try their free week of classes.  New to yoga and want a few tips?  Check out a recent blog post for yoga newbies on the VisitCameronVillage.com website.

I asked Kathleen the Studio Manager a couple of newbie questions:
What time are classes and what are your hours?
Our class times vary! Our doors open 30 minutes before class starts and 30 minutes after.

What should a new student bring to class?
A new student should bring water, sweat towel and yoga mat however, we have all of those things if they don't own a mat or towel! I always tell people just wear clothes you want to sweat in!

Are the black CoreYoga mats for use?
Every students gets a FREE week or the option to purchase a $9 yoga mat and receive two weeks of unlimited yoga to try!

"Meditation is a process of lightening up, of trusting the basic goodness of what we have and who we are, and of realizing that any wisdom that exists, exists in what we already have. We can lead our life so as to become more awake to who we are and what we’re doing rather than trying to improve or change or get rid of who we are or what we’re doing. The key is to wake up, to become more alert, more inquisitive and curious about ourselves." ~Pema Chodron

#CVTRENDREPORT: I'm excited to partner again with Cameron Village to feature some of the great merchants in the Village and highlight some 2017 Fall Trends and great "hidden gems". I love shopping local and it's been an amazing opportunity to get to know these merchants, their stories and their passion for what they do!
