Cameron Village Spotlight: Pendleton & Celebrating 100 Years of National Parks

I have to admit, I love finding cool things happening around Raleigh and sharing about them. I am currently getting to know merchants in Cameron Village and I'm excited to share a little about them and some "hidden gems" you may or may not know about.

I recently made my first visit to the Pendleton store in Cameron Village. Located near the restaurant Cantina 18, this is the only Pendleton retail store in North Carolina. Pendleton has been a family-owned business in the United States for 150 years. Their products are quality made for a lifetime of enjoyment.

I was greeted in the store by a special collection of products that were created to celebrate 100 years of our country's National Parks. Established in 1916 the National Park Service was created to protect America's wilderness. As a family, we have visited several parks on different trips over the years, most recently the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone,  and I was really excited to discover this unique collection.

The same year that the park service was established in 1916, Pendleton started weaving their striped park blankets that represent each park with it's own distinct pattern and colors. The blankets are a classic, quality and the perfect gift to someone special or yourself. They are woven 100% pure virgin wool made right here in the USA. They are a top notch quality product, beautiful and a life long treasure to own. To honor the 100 years of the National Park Service, Pendleton created a large collection of items along with blankets and is donating a portion of every sale to the National Park Foundation to help in the restoration and preservation of these iconic American parks.

The Pendleton collection includes ten National Parks: Acadia, Badlands, Crater Lake, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Great Smoky Mountains, Rainier, Rocky Mountain, Yellowstone, and Yosemite. If you've ever traveled to even one of these parks you know how astounding and beautiful they are and what a gift to all of us to be able to travel and spend time visiting in our own country. And how important it is to preserve these parks for generations to come.

The Pendleton store has all these items available NOW for a limited time. If you are looking for a great Father's Day gift, there are hats, water bottles, tee shirts, blankets, towels, mugs, bags and so much more. The collection includes home ware items and jackets, collars, leashes and beds for your dog!

The Pendleton store in Cameron Village also has a limited collection of Spring/Summer 2016 clothing for men and women available now. They will soon be featuring an amazing Fall collection with new items arriving early Summer.

#CVTRENDREPORT: I'm excited to partner with Cameron Village over the next few months to feature some of the great merchants in the Village and highlight some 2016 Spring Trends and great "hidden gems". I love shopping local and it's been an amazing opportunity to get to know these merchants, their stories and their passion for what they do!
